Do you provide FAA Testing?

Yes, we provide FAA Testing! We are an authorized PSI/CATS Testing Center.

Do I need to bring anything to take a test?

Yes,  each test requires certain identification and/or documentation.

All applicants for any test must provide identification. Identification information must be valid and current including the applicant’s photo,
date of birth, signature, and physical residential address. Your identification must match your test registration information exactly.
For example, if you register providing your full middle name, your full middle name must appear on your identification presented to the test proctor.

For United States Citizens and Resident Aliens this includes items such as a driver permit or license issued by a U.S. state or territory, a U.S. Government Identification Card, a U.S. Military Identification Card, a Passport, or an Alien Residency Card.

For a Non-U.S. Citizen this includes a Passport AND either a driver permit or license issued by a U.S. state or territory or an identification card issued by any government entity.

For an applicant under age 18, who does not possess an acceptable form(s) of identification, a parent or legal guardian may be required to accompany the applicant, and after presenting identification as described above, may attest to the applicant’s identity.

If the acceptable form(s) of identification (as listed in the table above) does not include valid and current proof of the applicant’s physical/residential address, the applicant may utilize his or her parent’s permanent, physical/residential address; or the applicant may provide proof by presenting one of the following:
 

• FAA Medical Certificate

• Pilot’s License

• Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP CTP) graduation certificate

• FAA Form 8610-1, Mechanic’s Application for Inspection Authorization (signed by an

• FAA inspector)

• FAA Form 8610-2, Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application (signed by an FAA

• inspector)

• FAA Form 8710-1, Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application (signed by an FAA

• inspector)

• Form DS-2019, Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status (aka,

• Department of State / Department of Homeland Security “Student and Exchange

• Visitor Information System (SEVIS) eligibility printout”)

• Public utilities statement (electric, gas, water – NOT cable or cell)

• Mortgage statement

• Lease agreement

• Property tax bill or receipt

• Property deed

• Homeowners or renter’s insurance statement

• Vehicle registration

• Voter registration card
   

Examples of an unacceptable physical/residential address are a post office box, rural route, flight school address, or a commercial business/employer address.

What am I allowed to bring into the testing center?

Three basic items are allowed in the testing center to aid the candidate. These include a non-programmable calculator, an E6B flight computer, and a plotter or straight edge if the other equipment being used to do include those items. Graphing calculators, like the TI-83, TI-84, and TI-89 are not allowed for usage during the tests due to their ability and capacity to store contents in its onboard memory. Both digital/electronic E6Bs and traditional E6B wheels are allowed. Magnifying lenses are also allowed.  Drinks, excluding alcohol, are allowed. Examples of devices that are not allowed include all phones, watches, computers, tablets. If it can be used to store notes, communicate, or connect to the internet it is not allowed.
 

How much does the test cost?

All FAA Airmen Knowledge Tests, except the Unmanned Aircraft General written exam (UAG), are $165. The UAG written exam is $150. These fees are assessed when taking the test as an initial attempt, as retake for a higher score, and after failure. Cash, Check, Visa, and MasterCard are acceptable forms of payment. Payment can be made at the time of registration.
